Sarah McCloud

Sarah McCloud 78, of Seabrook, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral Services for Mrs. McCloud will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, April 5, 2013, at Friendship Holiness Church, Stuart Point. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Burton.

She was a daughter of the late Reuben and Estella Stout Smalls and was born November 14, 1934, n Homestead, Pennsylvania.

Gram as she was known by many, was a member of New Vision Revival Center, Rincon, GA. She was a very hard worker. She worked diligently with the special needs and loved cooking and baking.

She moved to Deerfield Beach, Florida, where she met and later married the late Edward McCloud, Sr. and to this union, eight children were born. Four of her children preceded her in death: Beverly McCloud and Russell, Franklin and James Smalls. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: George, James, Garfield, Ruby and Ernestine.

Sarah was loved by many. Her smile and the sound of her laughter will always live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was a very special quiet person that loved her children and being amongst her family. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23 and her favorite song was "Precious Lord".

Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Leroy (Lillian) Smalls of Stuart Point, SC, Tommy Lee McCloud and Edward (Loletha) McCloud, Jr. both of Seabrook, SC; five daughters, Martha Frazier and Mary Ann Washigton both of Seabrook, Rose Ann McCloud of West Palm Beach, FL, Sandra (Harry) Simmons of Lady's Islan, SC and Lucille Washington of Savannah, GA; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Leroy (Thelma) Smalls of Camden, SC; two goddaughters, Glory Ann (Edward) Wright of Raeford, NC and Ruthie Washington Ford of Burton, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
